Thanks to the fact that I am so exhausted I nearly fell asleep driving home from work tonight, we are going to turn to one of my favorite games, which happens to be Anonymous Hallieford Reader's least favorite game: Interpret This Photograph.
Take a good long look and let your mind go free. There are no right or wrong answers, just say whatever comes to mind.
I'll start because I can. I promise if you were here, I'd let you go first.
1. Chesapeake Bay Woman is so tired she could go to bed right now (7:00 p.m. Tuesday) and not get out of bed until Saturday in the year 2010, and that would only be for take-out from the delightful new eatery that has taken up shop at Cobbs Creek Market. For anyone local, please call 725-9797 and order any sort of pizza; you will not be disappointed unless, like me, you were hoping for a Thai restaurant, and then you'll get over it as soon as you taste the food. Oh, but this has nothing to do with the interpretation of that photo.
2. In the stark, dreary dullness that is winter, a beautiful blue sky and a splash of green remind us that there is still life. Of course that very greenery could well be snuffing out the life of that larger tree, but let's not focus on that right now. Otherwise I just might start crying. Thank you.
3. That curved remnant of a tree on the left symbolizes the past. The past is dead and gone but still exists; the winds of time shape and mold it into something slightly different, but at its roots it is still the same as it ever was.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, I did fall asleep twice today and I cant believe I'm still up.
The picture: I see a tree that has lots of green growth on it...which means it's robbing the brown grass of nutrients. That's my take on it.
Well, I thought it looked like a mouldy growth. So I thought that it reminded me that if I stay too long in the one spot, that is eactly what I will look like. Worn out, with mould all over me!

ReplyDeleteDo you know what? I don`t actually like pizza, and once I was in a Thai restaurant and ran out howling! So what other food places have you got? Maybe I should look for mushrooms underneath the dead tree?
I am very tired, also. At first glance, I see CBM chasing a big serpent away from her herds of cats, ducks and geese. She's really lettin' him have it! "Shoo Beast! Get on from heyah"

Very good interpretations, for those of you who tried. Each one of you came up with something a little different. Bravo! I do love this game.
ReplyDeleteI confess that my favorite one is Anonymous Hallieford's because I know she hates this game and yet she participated. Plus, she mentioned Triscuits and lemongrass, and gets an A+ for creativity; humor; and effort. She needs to cover her mouth when she yawns, though.
But seriously, thank you all for playing along. I am no less tired tonight, have been at work and then basketball all evening, have no idea what I'm writing for tomorrow and no picture loaded.
In other words, be prepared for a snoozarama tomorrow morning. I'm going to drive this blog right into the ground yet. Just wait and see.
