Believe it or not, this is a recent sunrise on Queen's Creek.
Believe it or not, Chesapeake Bay Woman did not use any special effects other than the "auto" setting on her camera. There was a lot of mist, fog and cloud cover this particular day.
Take a look at that ball of sun in between the two pine branches. Then look at the glow on the horizon.
Then give me one good reason why I should live anywhere else.
Have a peaceful Sunday, as calm and smooth as this creek.

Ms. Hallieford-Maybe I'll stop by that local restaurant today, with or without the picture. I'm starving and have nothing to eat that doesn't require a great deal of preparation, and I'm feeling lazy today.

ReplyDeleteHoly mackerel. This is yet another example of me slapping up a picture I am not that thrilled with and everyone saying how much they like it. There's no way I can distinguish between good and mediocre or even bad. This particular photo was just a mediocre one in my book.

MMM. Are you sure you're not my long lost brother? Chesapeake Bay Mother says that frequently about how we better not expose Mathews too much or else we'll have people flocking to move here. She's serious when she says it, too.

GJ-Sorry about all the bad weather. As with most bad things in life, thunderstorms can be severe but are usually brief and afterwards there's a whole new appreciation for the calm.

ReplyDeleteUrban Craziness was what drove me back to Mathews. I was sorely aware of how--bit by bit--we're being swallowed alive by concrete, super chains... Starbucks, Wal-Mutant, Target...and urban sprawl.
Mathews was/still is a paradise to grow up and grow old in, but it won't be a paradise forever. I'm hoping to preserve or at least capture things as they are now.
Well this was certainly way more than I intended to say, which was merely Thank You.
Nope not one, count yourself BLESSED to be in such beauty and have the eyes to appreciate it, and the heart of an artist to see it.
