Herondipity

Yesterday the weather was dreary and the temperature was bitterly cold.

On the way to visit a friend, I stopped in at one of my favorite public landings near Onemo.

Ordinarily it's just me, the dock, and a few boats.

But this time there was company.

Just as soon as my camera started to pay him any attention,

Mr. Heron became agitated and flew off.

We are an introverted bunch here in Mathews.

Especially in the winter months.

  1. That take-off shot was thrilling ! Reminded me of classic Japanese crane art work...love the curve of those wings. Herons seem to me to be messengers. What message did he have for you ?

Thanks for reading and thanks for leaving a comment. I thoroughly enjoy hearing what you have to say even if I don't always have a chance to respond personally.
