Sunrise on Queens Creek |
We interrupt all the Hurricane Irene blather to show you Friday morning's sunrise.
I had to drop Chesapeake Bay Son off at cross country practice by 6:30 a.m. and caught a glimpse of the sun making this spectacular showing before we left.
Same morning, from Bethel Beach. Wolf Trap Light in the distance. But look at that sky. |
After I dropped him off, I raced to Bethel Beach to capture a few shots of the exquisite morning sky.
The weather here these past several days has been fall-like in temperature and humidity, only at night especially at night and in the early morning.
It's hard to believe just last weekend we were boarding up, bracing for a hurricane.
Storms come, and storms go.
And life goes on.

Gorgeous, gorgeous skies, CBW.
And you're right about weather. We've had some cooler weather and some rain, but it's expected to be back up to 89F within a week, with no rain in sight, so I'll be out there moving those sprinklers, toting those barges, lifting those bales. Good thing I don't drink or I'd land in jail.

Spectacular sunrises! Was at the beach for a week and didn't see any nearly this lovely. It was cool here for a while, but the temp is back up to too hot for comfort:)
Have a great weekend!
After the storm comes the calm and the beautiful sunrises!
Beautiful! I was asleep then, so thanks for sharing.
And yeah, I'm loving this weather.
Just gorgeous...
Next BlogFest (there will be a next ... wont there?) I am getting up to get a sunrise to go with all the sunsets I got on Bud's Beach .. xo
He's a masterful painter isn't He?
Just got home from work...sort of quite for a holiday weekend...
CBW thank you for sharing those with us...
Blogfest weekend...could I ever be so bold to invite myself?
Beautiful skies!
The weather and skies have indeed been glorious here the past several days.
Maria, you have an open/standing invitation here, so don't feel obligated to wait for the next Blog Fest, which historically (if you call twice historic) happens in the summer. Plus, if you win the Blog Cabin you'll be a neighbor who can drop in any time, bearing gifts of Vietnamese spring rolls complete with dipping sauce... Regardless, next Blog Fest, you'll be expected here.
Happy Labor Day.
your so dear...
