Five Years

A mere five years after starting this blog, I have learned something new.

These photos have been "embiggened" as my blog tutor and expert New York City tour guide Daryl would say.

Others might use the boring word enlarged.

The point is, I've never known how to make the photos larger than the three options Blogger defaults to.

Now, thanks to Daryl, I know how to change the width and height.

(At least I think I do.  We'll see when this thing posts for real.)

Wait.  I've been doing this for five years?

Have a great weekend that hopefully passes more slowly
than the five years that raced by while I was doing this blog.

happy blogiversary .. here's to 5 more ..

i think you need to switch up your blog template to get even bigger pix ... they're limited by those side bars .. i can walk you through it ..

Five years! That's wonderful!
And Daryl is the perfect person to have as a blog tutor. I agree, your photos might be limited by the width of your blog template.

They say time goes by fast when you're having fun. So the question is: Have you had fun in the last 5 years since you started this blog? I know I've had fun reading it for 2 years. Keep up the good work, kid!

What Daryl said. I came here to say the exact same thing. I have three columns on mine and the left is the largest. You can fool around with it in your templates and it will show you as you do it. It's fun!

Thanks, Deborah, hope your weekend is fantastic. When does the spandex descend on your town again?
Ours is in May but I know you all have one too.

Daryl, I've toyed with changing the template ever since they offered the new ones, but of course Fear of Change prevented me from going that route. I need to though and will. Thanks so much for all your help.

Kay-Thank you. Also glad you hopped over to my mother's blog for her "I Survived Surgery With CB Father" story. She came over tonight and casually mentioned she'd documented the experience and of course downplayed her story telling abilities.

DGH-You've been here two years? Wow. The answer to your question is this blog has given me a whole new life even if the content seems to be dying a slow death...I've met lifelong friends, the best people, and continue to receive emails from complete strangers who love Mathews s much as I do. In short, yes, I've had fun and am eternally grateful for the friendships blogging has provided.

Kate-Thank you, hopefully you'll be at the end of 1-800-INeedBlogHelp when I make these changes, which I know are way overdue. My son asked me today when in the world I was going to update my flipphone/cellphone, vintage Way Old. Same thing, fear of change even if it's ridiculous.

Ah, congratulations CBW. Terrific. Always enjoy reading, and usually having a laugh too!

Five years for my blog too, towards the end of this month! Amazing!
