Groove

These were taken back in October 2012 from Aaron's Beach.

Weaving the new basketball season into our already hectic lives (which includes this weekend's Holly Ball and never mind Christmas) has been daunting.  All it takes is one away game on a Monday night to completely do me in for the week, what with all the driving I already do to get to work and the long days that start at 5:30 a.m. and don't end until after midnight.  Running a half marathon is far easier than being a working parent with a daughter involved in sports.

Speaking of basketball, the girls lost last night against Essex, 31-29, however they should not have.  There was no reason for them to lose other than the team just hasn't found its groove yet. (The JV team won, just barely, in a very brutal match.)

I haven't found my groove as a spectator yet either.  By the time the varsity team plays, especially on a day I have to work, I am just too exhausted to even cheer properly (where "properly" equals whole hog, full force, wide open, all the way).  It's pitiful, really.

This blog certainly hasn't found its winter groove.  No time for pictures and way too much going on to even write about it all.

Anyway, blog posts will likely be sporadic this month and only if/when I have a fresh batch of pictures.

Have a great week.

Dare I say "groovy"?
Honestly, just reading about your hard day's nights, with you chiding yourself for not being a very good spectator, completely wears me out. Just reading about it. Not thinking about it afterward. That's even worse.
So you tell your mother that I said for her to tell you no team could ask for a better supporter than you. I know she'll agree with me, because we see eye to eye, your mother and I.
Luv, K

That's how I always blog - when I have a fresh batch of pictures.
I work at a school and get off on snow days. Hey, I don't make a ton of money but I do get some nice time off. I'm on day two. And the snow is a-coming down. Good luck to the girls this season!

I totally lost my blog groove. A while back. Ack. I'm holed up in my home office in my somewhat chilly basement, watching the snow, wishing that I could truly take the day off, like Country Girl! I still might find time for a nap; none of my clients seem to be working today so there's little traffic in my email box.

After being at the school all day helping with the kids in 2nd grade I'm not really wanting to go anywhere after supper. Especially now that it's so cold and snowy.. Pat yourself on the back for going to the basketball game and just being a supporter.. Lovely pictures~!
