Welcome to Three Thing Thursday, where we share three things which can be related, unrelated, random, orderly, interesting, boring, humorous, sad, germane, irrelevant, silly, serious, loopy, profound, heartwarming, frightening, ridiculous, informative and Oh, for the love of Pete, please make this sentence STOP and everything in between.
I'll go first.
1. Driving home from work last night, my odometer tripped 100,000 miles. This
frightens concerns me, because there's no way a new car is in the future any time soon. My hope
however naive is that cars are lasting longer nowadays than they used to, and that I can expect another 100,000 out of mine.
Please don't burst my bubble if that isn't the case. It's wonderful living in a place called Denial, where I feel very much at home. Also, let's not discuss the fact that a major piece of exterior plastic blew off going down James Store hill a while back. Let's definitely not take into consideration that I drive over 100 miles a day at least half the week and approximately 30-50 per day the rest. No, please, let's not talk about that. Thank you.
2. Chesapeake Bay Daughter has a basketball game tonight in Gloucester. At almost the same time, there's a meeting Chesapeake Bay Son and I must attend at Mathews High School. Does anyone know where I can find those mad scientists in charge of cloning? I need to order about three more of me.
3. My focus this month is returning to the book that's due to the publisher later this year, so blog posts will continue to be
trite light for the foreseeable future. Hopefully these next couple of months will be productive and the bulk of work will be behind me. Once that happens I'll feel better, but right now there is so much to be done it's
frightening overwhelming.
Well, it seems as though the theme of this post is
things that frighten me a familiar one: too much to do, too little time. This, too, shall pass, just like the numbers spinning furiously on the odometer.
Now it's your turn to share three thoughts using the very stringent guidelines outlined in the first paragraph.
On your mark, get set, go!

I have confidence that your car will keep on ticking, just like a Timex. You've got enough on your proverbial plate without worrying about your car-
1. A week of keeping an extra eye on my hubby...his blood sugar dropped to 50 and his blood pressure jumped way up there (too scary to put the numbers here)...you've never seen anyone make peanut butter sandwiches faster than I did! He is better now, but I'm afraid it will happen again. And, since he's a man, he won't say he is feeling weak or wobbly.
2. My schedule is all screwed up and I'm way behind on everything. Evidence is piled up in the sink and laundry baskets:)
3. I'm excited about your book! You have such a wonderful way with words and take excellent photos, I can't wait to see/read the book!
wv tormouc CBW has got herself into a tormouc over having so much to do-
Hang in there. This, too, shall pass.
Don't you just hate people who say things like that? I know I do. They make my teeth itch.

My 2001 Toyota 4-Runner has 162,000miles on it and is still going strong! I plan on driving it until it doesn't drive any more...which I hope is a long time because a car payment is not what I want either! As always, I enjoy your blog so much and good luck with your book!
Trinia
our last Ford Expedition had 190,000 miles on it before we sold it. I have Bronco with 200,000 miles and it still runs great. You will be fine.

Trinia and David D - Hey there, hope y'all are doing well. Thanks for the words of support about the car, hopefully it will last several more years. (Otherwise, I'm toast, but let's not dwell on that.)
Happy Thursday to everyone and thanks for reading/commenting.
1. I have stopped reading blogs ... simply because my life is upside down but I always come here most every morning even if I don't comment because you are one of the constants in my life even if I haven't seen you in real life in 23432343 days.

1. My van is making weird noises and I'm convinced the right front tire is giong to come off while I'm driving down the street. My soon to be ex fixed what he thought was the problem with zip ties. If you never hear from me again you know what happened and who was responsible.

Like deborah at the top of my whine, list is/are husbands who are uncommunicative til they end up in trouble ... followed by thinking it takes hospitals 3 tries to get anything done right and interns who mean well but seriously have to learn to temper the warnings about effects from certain test preps .. and I need at least a 12 hour nap ...
1. I like listening to the Gunsmoke radio show better than watching the television show.
2. Cats don't like sitting by humidifiers.
3. A trip to Wally World is in my future!
Thing one: Life is wonderful; the world, beautiful; the universe, awesome.
Thing two: Everything has its season; its right time; its exquisite purpose in the web of all things.
Thing three: Prognosticating is a good thing, but bridges can only be crossed when you meet them. Worry when the car blows up. Mum
1. I love that last photo. Love it.
2. My 'burb has 120,000 miles on it and the Jeep has 190,000. Both are running fine. Which is good because both are paid off and it's cheaper, usually, to drive what you own than to buy something new. Even if what you own is two gas-guzzling land yachts.
3. Still trying to figure out the right combination of contact lenses + cleaning solution so as to prevent the gunk from building up on them. I can barely see out of my left eye right now, so cloudy is my contact lens. Is this what cataracts are like? Because this sucks.
