Well, It's Sunday

Not only is it Sunday, but it's the Sunday before the first Monday of 2011, and the Sunday before the world returns to chaos work and school after some much-needed slowing down.

This dock, located in Mobjack, looks very peaceful and relaxing, doesn't it?

(Pay no attention to all that snow in the foreground. As of yesterday, it's all melted.)

Wouldn't it be nice to sit in that chair and bask in the fresh air and sunshine?  It'd be even nicer if there was someone back at my house doing laundry, cleaning, paying bills, putting away the groceries, fixing dinner, updating calendars with exhausting basketball schedules and taking Christmas decorations down.

Ah well, a girl can always dream.

p.s. As I write this, Chesapeake Bay Middle Sister and her husband are sunning themselves in Jamaica for the week. Although I ought to say something nice like, "Enjoy yourselves!"  all I can manage is a growl.

Grrrrr.

...Sweet photo CBW! I wish I was on that dock, in that chair, right. Now. ;o)

...Just wanted to wish you & yours a very Happy New Year filled with all the joys that life has to offer! And a few days off. And someone to do your laundry. And maybe take the kids to practice once in awhile. Ooo, and dinner out. And...hee,hee,hee :o)

...Many blessings to you...

What a beautiful photo. I'm going to show all your gorgeous pictures to my husband, convince him Mathews County is a holiday destination for people in western Canada. He doesn't believe me yet.

So true. Not sure I'm ready to go back to the real world. But if it gets me out of taking down the Christmas decorations...!

Wishing you peace and happiness from afar!

The holidays should be in, like, May or September, so the re-entry into the real world is tempered by moderate weather. Winter weather + January commute = *blowing raspberries at the world*

The snow melted?! Woot! I'm going to find a weekend to head south (as long as we don't get more snow) and share in some wine. I need a mental health weekend.

I would love to be somewhere in the sunshine. We still need to plan that summer beach house vacation. Just say the word! Stay warm and I hope to see you before first thaw!
