Winter, Spring

Here's a picture I took last week of the infamous little house on Knight Wood Road near Diggs.  Below is the same house back in April.

Diggs is in the vicinity of the county's haunted woods near Haven Beach.  But as far as I know, this house was never associated with any hauntings.

Unfortunately, though, this cute little house is forever associated with a very tragic story, one that many of us here in Mathews are reminded of whenever we pass this scene.

Click here if you're not familiar with the series of very unfortunate events that changed lives forever and drew national media attention to an innocent little house in the middle of Nowhere.

Instead of dwelling on that sad subject, I prefer to focus on those white daffodils in the foreground of the bottom picture.  Last night on my way home from work something yellow (a piece of trash) flashed in the median.  For a split second I could have sworn it was a patch of daffodils.

Wishful thinking.

Oh, how I look forward to spring.

In other news more closely associated with reality vs. daydreaming the present, there's a 30% chance of snow on Friday.

I had never heard of the tragedy . . .not a good thing to tarnish such a cute little house.

Don't worry - times flies so quickly that it will be Spring before you know it!

Oh my, such a tragedy, so sad.

Spring is surely on its way, and you will be spotting the real daffodils!

We have a 100% chance of snow for the weekend. Sheesh! Enough already!

Such a sad story. In the winter photo, the house looks sad, too.

Word on the street (here in Maryland, anyway) is that we'll have off from school on Friday due to a lot of snow. I say yay!
Now to check out the story.
