Welcome to Three Thing Thursday, where I
whine and complain about three or more things share three things and you shake your head and roll your eyes do too.
Without further ado, let's begin.
1. My dishwasher now officially joins the very lengthy list of items in the Chesapeake Bay Family household that no longer work or require
expensive extensive repairs. Although the lights come on and it makes all sorts of moans and groans noises as if it's trying to wash dishes, there's no water entering the main compartment. Now, if there's one thing I know, it's that water is one non-negotiable ingredient in the whole dishwashing process. A functioning dishwasher is one of the only things saving this family from being buried alive in dirty dishes. This is very distressing to me. Very distressing indeed.
2. The windshield on my car sports not one but two very large cracks. Unrelated to that, whenever it rains, water leaks through the passenger door onto the floorboard. The
gushing river incoming water, which ultimately pools in the floor, somehow triggers the interior lights to come on spontaneously. Also, there is some required maintenance due, something to do with differentials or something. And a recall notice came in the mail the other week. Can't even remember what that was about. Since I have no spare time, no spare car and daily responsibilities which require me to drive a minimum of 100 miles on a good day, the chances are not looking promising that any of these problems will be fixed any time soon. This, too, is very distressing.
3. Last evening after work, even though it was
freezing cold rather brisk, someone was water skiing on the creek. Ok, so nobody water skis around here any more. (Why is that, exactly? I always loved water skiing. Lived for it even.) They were flying behind a boat standing on one of those boards--is it a wakeboard? I have no idea what they're called. It looks like fun, and I'll put it on the list of things I'd like to try, but I yearn to water skiing.
Anyway, I thought I'd contribute at least one thing that wasn't a complaint, and this was the best I could come up with. (It's pretty weak, at best, and still sounds whiney to me.)
4. Calgon take me away. Please.
Now it's your turn. Please share three (or more) things. Whatever happens to be on your mind.
