Rainbow

I took this last June from my back yard after a storm. I've probably shown it before, but given that right now this exact same view is absolutely stark, bleak and dismal, I thought I'd dig back into the archives for some color and life. I'd say this one is chock full of both.

I'm still sick so I'll be mercifully brief again today. (Your thunderous applause and raucous cheers are not good for my throbbing temples.)

Lying in bed all day yesterday I dozed in and out of sleep with PBS on in the background. They're having one of their semi-annual member campaigns and always play something good in between periods of asking for money. Yesterday it happened to be Dr. Wayne Dyer on how changing your thoughts can change your life. I've seen it before, but it never hurts to hear his messages again.

Anyway, at one point when I was slipping back into consciousness I heard this and thought it was rather profound:

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience....Begin to see yourself as a soul with a body rather than a body with a soul."

If you're not lying flat on your back coughing up your esophagus and mopping beads of sweat from your brow (like I am), go out and do something to feed your soul and spirit today.

Also, welcome to March. Be careful, because if you blink it will be Thanksgiving; one more blink and it will be 2010.

I love, love that rainbow picture.

Sorry that you still feel so bad. Get well, because you don't want to miss you next work day.

I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you are back to your literary rambling self soon :-) If it's any consolation...I am sitting at my computer at work because as usual I didn't pay attention to deadlines and just realized that daughter's Financial Aid form has to be completed by March 1st to guarantee grants and all the information is stored at work where I did her form last year...so off to work I go on a weekend. I'd much rather be at home curled up under covers with a good book and a movie. Oh well, that's what I get for my perpetual habit of procrastinating. Feel better CBW. msseabreeze

I could look at that picture every day. I hope you feel better soon. Sounds dreadful.

Thank you, all. What a dreadful weekend, there was a point when I thought I was a goner it felt that bad.

Hope everyone has a great week, free from the flu, fevers, nausea, sinus pain, chest pain and general all-around misery.

Hmmm. Bossy likes this twist. Although she prefers to think of herself as a Curser with a body and soul wrapped around it.

What a beautiful rainbow. I always make a note of the date whenever I see a rainbow. They always seem to appear at a time when I need a little lift. Glad I came upon yours today!

My aunt swears by eating a bowl of oranges when you're sick.

No, she's not a mule.

Hope you're out of the woods!
