Onemo

Some questions.....

Doesn't this make you want to pull up a rocking chair and sit under the overhang? (Let's overlook the fact that rocking chairs on uneven, grassy surfaces are probably more aggravation than leisure.)

Do you see the American flag dead ahead? (Let's not reference the fact that the man who owns the flag--and yard--was cutting grass, highly suspicious of the frizzy-haired person pointing a camera in his direction as he spun around the yard on his John Deere.)

Did you know this part of Mathews is known as Onemo, pronounced Oh NEE mo? (Rumor has it the original name came from the need for One Mo' post office. How One Mo' became Oh NEE mo is well beyond the limits of my sleep-deprived brain cell.)

Am I the only person who has to work on a regularly scheduled day off? All day long? (Please don't answer that. Instead pretend I asked, "What will you be doing this weekend?)

Happy Saturday.

I'd rather be pulling up under that overhang and ordering something good to eat from a window.

No big plans this weekend...it's raining cats and dogs with no end in sight. I'm in a funk anyway.

Can't wait to hear about din din with the family.

Well I'm probably going to be visiting a plastic surgeon thank to one of our @&!*!%*& cats!

Other than that, cleaning. Probably. Or not. I'm waiting to see if I'm actually going to be able to milk anything out of these cat scratches or not. *lol*

I miss Mathews and the CB Family.

*sigh*

1. Baby shower.
2. Willing Angel to walk.
3. Probably alot of crying. (Both at the shower, and with Angel, hey, I am pregnant...)
4. So sorry you have to work, if not for the shower part of my weekend, I'd just about offer to go in for you..

There is a town west of Detroit called Novi (that's a long /i/). It was originally the number 6 stop on the train line = no. vi.

My plans seem to revolve around transporting daughter to 4,782 social events. She thinks I ought to feel gratitude.

We had a creek in our yard in Fairfax. It was called the "Pohick" and everyone assumed it was for the "po' hicks" who used it to wash their clothes. (later on found out it was a tributary of the Potomac). I liked our explanation better.

Hope it went well.

I spent the day struggling to concentrate on coastal waters quality assessment. Fun.

Hopefully your super-fun employee fest is winding down by now... I am still wondering if Bubbles remembered those extension cords.

Speaking of town names? In western PA near where an aunt of mine lives, there's tiny cross-roads town called Colver. And there is a neighboring town, equally small, called Revloc. Which is Colver spelled backwards. Yes, way.
