Silent Sunday

The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man. ~Author Unknown

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. ~Albert Einstein

Nature is man's teacher. She unfolds her treasures to his search, unseals his eye, illumes his mind, and purifies his heart; an influence breathes from all the sights and sounds of her existence. ~Alfred Billings Street

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. ~John Burroughs

If you're able, spend some time outdoors today and listen to the lessons Nature wishes to share with you. - Chesapeake Bay Woman (unless somebody else already said it in which case I can come up with another one, just let me know.)

6.45 and the Dog and I were out watching the sun rise over the lake; a green heron fishing; the geese taking flight on their journey south. Just gorgeous.

Nature is also telling me to get wood in and light a fire!

Word verification: outera. How appropriate!

I love that last one. It's my favorite!

And I've heard about the silo. I may have to do a requiem.

I've done the requiem. That old silo was so beautiful, Janice. It's a shame, but it really was dangerous. I got to use my new textures on it. I just bought a set last night.

Since it was Silent Sunday and all, I didn't add one other thing I wanted to convey - which is if you haven't been watching the PBS/ Burns special on the National Parks, you really should.

If you have the ability to visit Grand Teton, Yellowstone or Grand Canyon national parks, do it. Every human being should, it's a religious experience that cannot be translated into words.

OK, off to get ready for a trip to the beach with CB Daughter, who is learning how to take pictures.

Have a great Sunday.

I love to be out and about, it seems you can hear or maybe not what you hear but a feeling of well being comes over me and I feel like God is walking by my side. I liked your quotes especially the one by John Burroughs. Have a great Sunday and thanks for coming by.

Holding back the tears b/c I loved that silo sooo much. It was so unique and statuesque. And infallible, or so I thought. PMS'ing and detoxing from a great weekend with Little Sis! We had so much fun.

Washed down sidewalks, cooked, went to hand bell practice, edged lawns, put up ladders in the finch cage for the little crippled finch, and went to the track for a walk/run for the first time in years. What a great Sunday!
