From My Back Yard

Looking up Queens Creek towards Cow Point

On the left two pine trees that the heron and eagle like to lounge in.

The remains of my locust tree (on the right, foreground), that was nearly done in by the last hurricane.

Pines and locust together in one shot.  Those overturned chairs are covering my firepit.  A recent wind storm blew them over.

Smither's Cemetery (right, behind that barely visible wall)

Reflections

May your weekend be as peaceful as this recent sunrise on Queens Creek.

Have a wonderful family weekend...

today is Friday so that means garage/yard sale day...since it is winter they pretty much just have estate sales this time of year and there are 2, one I have to travel a bit to, but I have a PRIZE in mind, they are selling a yellow woman's bike. I hope the price is right...and that I snag it...

OK lets get off the Serene and Calming for a minute, (all though your photo's are great as usual!). Lets get on this Running thing! My Question is WHY! Is someone chasing you? Do they have a gun? I think they would just have to shot me!I'm not running! But I'm old. MM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. SAM

MM-I think I;m running to keep from succumbing to age-related illness (or worse) any sooner than I have to, but also I find it helps my usually depressed winter mood (a little). Another reason is because my friend Lauren wants me to run a half-marathon in October. I'm not sure I can run a half-marathon but we'll see... Thanks for your musical contribution (Retro 70s CD) to tomorrow night's celebration. We'll put it to good use.

TGIF, EVERYBODY!
