Quiz

True or False:

1. The headline of this week's local paper says: "Bears feel right at home in Gloucester." Next are three pictures of a bear the size of King Kong a grizzly breaking into a resident's birdfeeder.

2. The Coleman Bridge, which connects Mathews and Gloucester Counties with all major hospitals and emergency medical services many places including a hospital, which may be necessary after being mauled by a bear, will be closed for six hours on Sunday. An ordinary closure lasting 15 or so minutes is enough to create chatter, but a six-hour closure when bears are running rampant feeling right at home is borderline crazy another story entirely.

3. A weather disturbance over Puerto Rico that was supposed to cause some "potentially interesting weather patterns" is now a baby hurricane ready to cut his teeth on the Eastern Seaboard, which happens to be approximately the same location as the grizzlies brown bears and the major bridge closure and Chesapeake Bay Woman.

Answers: 1 - True. 2- True. 3- True. 4- I need to get out of here.

Oh dear, I say batten down the hatches...or is it hatten down the batches? Either way, lock the doors and don't feed the birds.

If the bears become a problem, they could be relocated to my house, where they will blend right in with the "wildlife" over here. No one would even notice. We enjoy scratching our backs on trees and an occasional growl.

We'll vacate our master bedroom for you if you come to MD!

Don't worry, you can cross that awesome Gov. Nice bridge instead.

Hey, if ya'll don't believe #1 is true - check me out tomorrow!!

Good news!!! They changed their minds about the Coleman being closed Sunday.

Because of inclement weather (being that baby hurricane)...

I am voting .. FIVE! We'll just get more wine and train the bears to dance with those little umbrellas like on the cartoons, use one of my boats to get across (with bears in tow) the York where the bridge is open and we will sing and dance in the rain when we get to the other side!

How does that sound to ya?

Oh you need to come here .. where its currently raining due to hurricanes in the Caribbean .. bet you didnt know NewYawkSittay was in the Caribbean weather loop .. me neither but this is the second weekend in a row for this sort of wet ... FEH

Oh wait, you'all should come here cause we have no bridge closings and lots of hospitals and emergency stuff and here's the best part: NO BEARS!

After originally posting I realized there was a 6 to vote for.. that I had already been in the wine and should really just go hide in the closet to let my brain cells heal.

I am feeling entirely better about not attending BlogFest. Going to spend the next five seconds chanting, "I LOVE Detroit, I LOVE Detroit, I LOVE Detroit."

Come on up! We are preparing for the hurricane! It involves wine. Lots of it.

That tears it, you need to come to California until the storm passes. We have no hurricanes -- hell, we have no weather, really. And no bears, except for on Bidwell Golf Course, but that's not a problem because all bridges are open and there's a hospital between the bears and us.

I'll just go start squeezing some grapes right now in anticipation of your arrival. White or red?

but Foolery: Don't you have, like, WILDFIRES???
