Beach Scenes

Here once again are a few shots

from Aaron's Beach.

This weekend should be rather uneventful except for my daughter's basketball game this evening, which will be very exciting since it will determine who wins the tournament championship.  Her team is undefeated this season.  Let's hope the trend continues for this final game.

Speaking of trends, spring is sending all sorts of signals announcing her impending arrival.  The songbirds are active in the mornings; the early daffodils are blooming; the geese are all over my yard; and the weeds are already taking over the house making a comeback in the beds surrounding the house.

That reminds me. The lawn mower is dead.

For now, though, I'll try to focus on the game and perhaps getting out to take more pictures this weekend.

Dead tractors are a concern for another day.

Have a great weekend.

cbw---not knowing how the CB daughter b-ball game went, I too hope they remained undefeated. If not, almost undefeated is still an impressive status.
deborah got us started on replying with 'reckless abandon' and windsmurf got in a good definition.
I WANTED to be an artist with a capital A, but have made procrastination a high art form instead--either that or BS artist.
AND I cannot type, thinking I'd been way too coool to learn.

I miss the beach. Hope CBDaughter kicks butt. Midge has a student v faculty game tonight. I'll have to repolish my toenails before the game. It was suggested I had sparkle. Now it looks like sparkly green toe fungus.

I've never seen Aaron's look so sandy or wide! Haven Beach is usually so strewn with seaweed that it reduces the width of the sandy area considerably.

I'm Bluebird49, and live in Southampton County--I hope the tornado wasn't near you, CBW! You all have had some really bad weather these past few years. I'm so sorry, and I hope all is well.

THEY WON!! Excellent! Now next on the agenda is resurrection of the mower.

bmma-Several storms have pushed sand way far back at Aarons, so much so that it has clogged a canal there. The sand goes back into what was once marsh area, and it's deep (the sand). The winds have really done a number on it, for better or worse.

Bluebird-Thankfully the tornado--at the opposite end of the county from where I live--did not injure anyone, although damage was done to some structures. I'll put up photos tomorrow. The weather on Friday was CRAZY. Eighty degrees - in February!

And yes, my precious daughter WON her basketball game, but it was a nailbiter. Very tense, a tough game. I'm so proud of her I can't see straight, she played an amazing game, as did the entire team.

Thanks for commenting, hope your week is a good one.
