The Doors
The shed above is a combination workshop/garage outside an old house near Onemo.
Last week I was driving around and was drawn to it. Lo and behold, there was a For Sale sign in the yard. Trespassing was definitely not involved because it's for sale and I'd love to buy an old farmhouse one day. This one would be perfect. For now we'll ignore the finer details involving lack of funds; as I say I was just looking. The pictures were needed in case I win the lottery and need to refresh my memory on what my new farmhouse will look like.
Yes, that's it.
This is a completely different door from a completely different garage/workshop. For the record, I wasn't trespassing on this occasion either, because I know the owner.
I love how these two pictures from completely different locations complement each other. I also love old buildings, old doors, and old windows.
You can call me weird, that's OK. Just don't call me a trespasser....

I love old doors and doorknobs. Guess we're both strange! Enjoy the weekend.
You are right about those doors. I love them too. And you can call me weird.
Two stories are better than one... that is what a wise woman once told me over an nice glass of wine...
and The Doors.... seriously.. what are we musical wannabes this week LOL.
I am headed that way today I cant wait to see the house and guess what.. the littlest child is going with me... lets see what he has in him..
I don't think it's weird at all. I love the way old windows have lines in them, and if you are looking at something through the lined part, it is distorted. Reminds me of Grandma's house. I love old stuff period.
Have you seen the book "Gone But Not Forgotten"? It is a book full of pictures of old, falling/fallen down houses in the area. It is really cool.
Weird? Because you have a thing for old doors? Pffit. So do I. Add a photo op tour of old barns to the next BlogFest ... lots of us have ZOOM lenses so we dont gotta trespass either
Word Verif: Angera - Italian Feminine for to be angry
love the doors - yours and the band! :-)
You are awakening my inner desire to trespass..um, I mean check out some of the old deserted vacant homes and sheds along some of the FM (farm to market) routes here in TX. I hesitate because most of the old homesteaders are armed to the gills.
Ahhhhhhhhh. Bossy is in love. With a door. A set of doors, really.
"Break on through to the other side"
As long as you're not breaking IN, you're fine.
Great doors. Looks like they should both lead to artist's studios or potting sheds with lots of natural light. Could you arrange that, please, for our next visit? ; )
For the record... I couldn't find the door.
but I have some from today that are great!
Maybe I will do a door day and a window day next week.. that will be fun...
it is not weird, at all You have a special gift to see beauty in old broken down things. You look past that to see how it would look if restored. Perhaps, you have an old soul.
Oh! Bossy is here, how sweet!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if those doors could talk and tell us about the people who have opened and closed them? Of course, if the doors talked, that would be WAY too weird.
Old doors have stories to tell! I think you captured them well!
Oyster fest??
