Silent Sunday

The sun shines and warms and lights us and we have no curiosity to know why this is so; but we ask the reason of all evil, of pain, and hunger, and mosquitoes and silly people.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

(p.s. Last summer I posted this picture of a sunset at Hills Bay but it's time for a rerun.)

It's so easy to do, is't it (said a prime culprit) - moan rather than appreciate. Good quote.

um, re the previous post of the photo of the old old place...didn't you say that there were tobacco farmers in the area ages ago...could it be where they hung their tobacco...or something...not that I would know!

ps word verification was "tabical"..that sounds a bit like a half a sabbatical...or something? Maybe a tad bit of a sabbatical coming up? Or maybe "topical"...why don't I just stop now. I don't have a clue what I am talking about anymore...I am too tired!

Again...I look at your photos and say to myself, "I KNOW this place!" And all is well with the world.

The quote is so very apropos right now, for this unusual place I am, in my life right now.

Great quote as I catch my breath!

pardon me again...I just googled "tobacco curing houses", and looked at "images" as you do...and there were a few similar shaped buildings there.

I had that very photo featured on my computer screen for MONTHS after the last time you posted it. A beautiful shot!

Silent Sunday? That photo and quote speak volumes. Have a wonderful day in the silence. I have a new friend who sends his/her love. Boy? Girl?

Gorgeous photo - and, yes, our mosquitos are turkey buzzard-sized.

I for one hope that people will start questioning the source of the sun, and spend less time tut-tutting about silly people. Feel free to still tut-tut evil, pain, hunger and mosquitoes to your hearts' content.

Love,

The Silliest of All Silly People

p.s. That photo is a heart-stopper.
