Twas the Night Before Blog Fest

Twas the night before Blog Fest when all through the house,
Every creature was stirring, including the mouse.

The cobwebs they hung from the ceilings to scare
In hopes that the bloggers soon would not care.

And CBMother in her garden and I on my deck
Could not settle down due to loads of goose crap long enough for a nap.

The lights they were hung on the patio with care except no they aren't yet
'cause we're still painting there.

In hopes that the bloggers soon would be there.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my computer chair to see what was the matter.

The matter was Gustav the Killer Goose who sprung loose from his pen to bite greet the newly arrived Blog Fest guests who would subsequently go on to enjoy several days of fun, frivolity and laughter, Killer Goose notwithstanding.

Yadda yadda yadda but I heard them exclaim ere they drove out of sight.
Merry Blog Fest to all, and to all a good night!

The End.

Posting will be sporadic at best for the next 4 days but I will share photos and stories just as soon as I can. It's not too late to attend either - and you don't have to be a blogger. We'd love to have you join us. Just e-mail me at ChesapeakeBayWoman@gmail.com for directions and information.

And now some shots from last year's Blog Festivities.

I am green, nay, EMERALD, with envy. Yes, it's official. I have BlogFestEnvy . A very uncomfortable ailment, I'll have you know.

But, really? Have a great time - all of you- and don't even spare a moment to think of me up to my ears in shearing and sheepshit.

Wait, I'm confused - I thought the mouse was dead?

Wow, give a girl some high-speed internet and show her how to reduce her photo file sizes and LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS SHE POSTS!

Enjoyed the trip down memory lane... and looking forward to making some new ones... see you in T minus 24!

MM, great rules! Those I could obey:)
Mrs. F, how many sheeps do you have to shear?
No pressure, but please please please put up tons of pics and lots of words each day during BlogFest.
Only if you have time.
Virtual hugs to each and every one of you!!

I'm so envious that I won't be making the trip this year. Last year was the best! We waited until the last minute but things just didn't work out.

I just sent you and Meg M. a message via Facebook. Let me know what you think. Have some news I want to share with YOU ALL and if we can hook up a speaker/conference call while ya'll are down there, that would be AWESOME!

Love to you all! Have a great time!

Audrey
