Snowflakes

Saturday evening, just as we were sitting down to Christmas dinner, snowflakes started falling from the sky.

They fell, and they fell, and they fell.  All through the night.

And all day Sunday.

Just when we thought it would never end, it didn't.

As I write this on Sunday evening, at least two feet a foot is on the ground, and the occasional flake is still falling.

Yesterday was the perfect day to not get dressed.  Having an excuse to kick back with the clicker and nap on and off every hour on the hour was absolutely priceless.  Mother Nature pretty much said, "Sleep.  As much as you want.  And even more. Enjoy."

Thank you, Mother Nature. I love you. And I did.

Aside from establishing a regular nap routine, Mother Nature's reason for providing so much snow is that Chesapeake Bay Woman was supposed to leave town with her two children for a few nights is immaterial, but Chesapeake Bay Woman sure is glad she took off from work this week and is loving every minute of all this snow.

The End.

Napping is good. Random napping through out the day is even better:) When you go out, watch out for that tree and the car!
I can't believe how much snow you received- we were supposed to get several inches, but only a dusting added to what was already on the ground.

Oh, so beautiful. I love the first picture, and the second, and the third. Well, you know...
We had a white Christmas but it was old snow that fell before we went away. Not the same effect at all, unless I take my glasses off.

Enjoy! We are loving ours too. Well, except for the blizzard wind part....

So glad you got some real honest-to-goodness snow, and over Christmas too! Lucky ducks. They were making noise in DC about significant snow and I think I saw maybe three snowflakes - no, I think it was only two. Total bust. So you have to enjoy yours for us, too.

As a Mathews girl now living in CA, I miss those scenes. Absolutely beautiful.

We just talked to my mom in Virginia Beach. She says they got 14.2 inches of snow and the city is at a stand still. Oddly enough, we only got about 5 or 6 inches out here in The Blue Ridge Mountains. We were just there visiting the week before and we sure are glad we left for home when we did or no telling how long it would take for us to get out of Mom's driveway!
