Shed

This little leaning shed lives on the road leading to Locklies Marina.

After lunch on Saturday I had to stop and get its picture.

It looked a little lonely.

The trees coming up around it seem to give some level of support, however slight.

I love this window.

(It doesn't take much to entertain me.)

It was freezing cold today, at least to me.  I believe I saw 40 degrees on the car's thermometer this morning, and when I left work tonight it didn't feel one bit warmer.

On my way home from work, I stopped in Walmutant--not because I wanted to, but because I had to. Driving out of the parking lot, I glanced towards the Garden Center and was shocked to see Christmas trees all lit up. They've probably been lit up for weeks now but I only noticed tonight because of the darkness.

Didn't I just drag that artificial tree of mine down to the basement?  Is it really that close to Christmas?

Again?

Not that I am rushing Christmas, and if I am I didn't start it, but click here for the story of that Christmas tree  I just put away yesterday.

I love the red branches outside the shed.
Dick has to take his Halloween decorations down to the cellar (I don't go there, it's a trap door in the floor with a ladder going down) and I am NOT going to ask him to bring up my little artificial tree. Not yet. Much too early.
It's one week today until Remembrance Day in Canada. I'm looking at my parents' wedding picture, which lives on a shelf above my computer. Dad is wearing his Canadian Army uniform and looking younger than Mom.
Sigh.
I'm glad you took the pictures of the shed. Now many people will see it, and send it some love, and some moral (if not actual) support.
Hi to your family.
Luv, K

Love the photos... especially because that shed looks like one of those things you'll stop by to see in a few months and discover it had suddenly fallen over. Then we can see the before and after photos (both of which will have their own beauty).

Christmas stuff? Noooooooo..... Betsy

Proving again that art is where you find it..as well as soul. The little trees holding up the old shed's frame is a metaphor many of us can relate to.

I love everything about this shed. What grand photos you got! I love that you share these kinds of things with us. The window you love is just wonderful. I have looked at these photos three times already. I will come back and look several more times.
