About a week ago after work, I drove down to
Aarons Beach to clear my head.
Aarons Beach to clear my head.
Much to my surprise, I stumbled upon a festival of feathered friends which included cormorants and gulls.
This particular cormorant was really showing off. He was all talk and no action. The |
Everyone stood dutifully gazing off
into the grand expanse that is the bay.

Evidently they needed to clear their heads some too.
I wonder what a gull or a cormorant is thinking,
perched for so long like this.
perched for so long like this.
I'm guessing it has to do with what's for supper.
Except for this guy, who looks like he's trying to start something. |
Yep, we all just stared off into the distance.
What are they thinking about?

I don't want to know!
they're wondering why the lady with the camera keeps coming down to take their photo....
A possiblility in human terms: It's a random summer Sunday afternoon, the early 60's in Mayberry(rfd). Having been to church and eaten dinner, Andy and Barney are sitting on the front porch thinking about what they are going to do for supper (4+ hours away) Aunt Bee and Opey join them...just cause. Andy ocassionaly strums his guitar, but nobody gets excited and he gets bored after he finishes the song that was running thru his mind. After a bit, a breeze carries the aroma of a kitchen down the way that's preparing supper. The possibilities of what exactly is being prepared will undoubtedly be discussed for a length of time.

Could only accounted for 4 .... can't figure out how to get all those other birds onto the front porch :)

They're thinking about their next meal; then they're wondering about the weather to come. They enjoy a little rest.
Wish I was a bird and could sit on a piling and stare out at the bay without a care in the world.....except what was for supper.
