To Do List

The photo above was taken from the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

This photo was taken from the outer banks of Gwynn's Island.

Completely and utterly unrelated to any of the above is the rest of this post. Welcome to the transition. Please enjoy the Muzak playing in the background while we gently shift into fifth gear.

As I write this on Saturday night, I'm eagerly anticipating a sunny, warm Sunday because if not I'll be traveling to WVEC television studios prepared to engage in an all-out fist fight with the weather man the weather forecast indicates a potential spurt of moderate temperatures.

High on my list of things to do during this rare temperate day:

- sleep late

- have a cup of coffee then go right back to bed

- ease gently into the day

- open the garage door to let the small family of rodents out for some fresh air and exercise let the fresh air in

- attempt to tackle the clutter there (and realize that even five minutes of effort is an actual attempt, no?)

- download/upload pictures from an unexpected delivery to my doorstep yesterday

- eagerly write Monday's blog post about said delivery which involves the color pink, some sparkles, rapture, indulgence, blue collars, and a gummy worm (not necessarily in that order)

I would ask you to guess what the delivery was except one of my two readers already knows.

Instead, can you come clean my garage for me? what will you be doing today?

And even better, what would you rather be doing if you could do anything?

Well, since it is already Sunday afternoon...I have been to church this morning, and done nothing much else since! Trying to be good and Rest! Hoping rest includes the computer, books, papers, doing odd jobs and shopping, and not much else, except an odd tv program. I wish I could be out in the garden weeding, as we have had such lovely rain. I also wish I could start to enjoy a cuppa tea, coffee or Chai again. Maybe one day eh?

Let's see.. what would I rather be doing today other than what I am doing .. hmm... how about sliding small slivers of glass under my finger nails one at a time that are covered in acid.. yea that about covers it.. that would be better than this..
But if it were not for "this" I would rather be sitting my really large ass on the island and it be 80 not 60 the end.

Garage? Garage? I used to have a garage. My car even used to fit into it. Now, I don't even want to think about the clutter in there, or in the guest room or the garden shed, or a million other places. What would I rather be doing today? How about sleeping while some fairy godmother came along and organised the mess?

Just walked the dog wearing a light jacket.. I was wearing it not the dog. I am headed to te MD Home and Garden show with my mom and sister, no children. I would almost rather be outside working on fixing the tunnels those nasty voles made in my lawn and garden. But buying garden stuff is good too

Mr F and I got to have a lie-in!! Together! You cannot imagine how amazing this was - the first time in, oh, nine years? Nobody woke up until 7.15, and we gently suggested they went back to their rooms and played nicely for a bit. And they did! No arguing (with us or each other)! No whining! Woohoo! Also no skiing today! Wheee! I can hear you muttering, 'Oh, for heaven's sake, Beccy, get a LIFE' ....

What will I be doing.... a quick run, then putting together furniture and dismantling some more. In all three childrens' rooms.

Perhaps playing in the snow?

What would I rather be doing? On the beach in New Brunswick. With the husband, children, dog..... walking, running, laughing.

Oh, I have one more batch of marmalade to make.....

My Sunday will be almost like yours, minus any possiblities of violent encounters. I will spend my day in jammies. It's raining and I'm tired. Big track meet yesterday and G-daughter got two golds. One was for a hurdle thing with a time of 50.2 seconds. Don't even ask what kind of hurdle because I get confused. The other gold was for a 200 run, maybe. Don't have the time...it was too cold for me to take my hands out of my pockets to take pictures or to use my stop watch on my phone.
I know, I'm pitiful!

My day started with a call to American Express, my new BFFs .. they caught fraudulent usage of my card on Thursday and contacted me. We got the straightend out and I got a new card on Saturday. Then this morning I looked at my Amex bill online, another whole story for my own blog, and spotted 4 other charges not mine .. people if you are going to use an Amex with a huge credit limit why eat at Chili's and how can someone eat at Chili's for $125? Twice in one day? DEEP CLEANSING BREATH .. I was not in Marrietta or Atlanta on March 4 ...

Anyway .. now I have spoken to two fabuloius AMEX peeps and its all good again ... and I have had coffee and been blog reading .. next I go get beautified™ .. and then home to hang with ToonMan ... and obsess over how mu AMEX got compromised .. no one would tell me how they knew which was a real charge and which wasnt ... big inside secret the Fraud peeps are not willing to share ...

WV: lapint .. you lap int the place for that ...

We went to church this morning, and are now anxiously waiting for the burgers to finish grilling:) Laundry is in both machines. I don't feel quite as crappy as I have for the past week, just a little crappy;) The weather is beautiful, and I'm hopeful that Spring will, in fact, arrive this year!!!

I just posted what I did all day. It involved a little of nothing, well a lot of nothing. But a day I'll always remember. Just because.
