Fall Fields

Soybean field just outside of Kilmarnock.

Field across from yesterday's Shiloh School.

Soybean field near Shiloh School.

Today is one of those days where there's no time  to think, breathe, bathe, acknowledge one's own family, or sleep to write so the post will be brief except for these photos and an inability to say anything other than "field."

Please keep your celebratory applause and shrieks of joy down to a dull roar.

For your own safety and comfort, please do not stampede or trample others as you race to click the "x" in the upper right corner to escape out of here.

Stay tuned for Three Thing Thursday coming tomorrow to a blog near you.

p.s. If you stay long enough to leave a comment, the word of the day is "field."

Use it three or more times in a comment, and you'll graduate with honors from the CBW School of Writing, where redundancy and an inability to think of descriptive words is the name of the game.

Thank you. Come again.

As I looked at the photo of that soybean field, and read your last sentence, I thought 3 fields in one sentence, that would be a hard one to field.

murronsm: trying to put too many r's and m's in one word and not really succeeding.

Hope your week will slow down a bit for you, cbw.

I feeled I must fling myself in front of this challenge, like a fielder fielding a fly ball. If the challenge were for the number of Fs I'd be ahead right now, but you said to use the word field three times and now I feel I've fought for the gauntlet you flung.
You didn't say it had to make sense.
And "fielder" and "fielded" probably don't count anyway, but you can't blame another frazzled female for trying.

I got this...

I once knew a lady who pooped in a field, I wasn't at all shocked she had pooped in the field, because my mama had pooped there too.. there in the field, that is one hell of a fertilized field!

Take that.. I got FOUR.

hehehehehe

I was very disappointed I missed the field pooping portion of Blogfest as there is nothing finer than field pooping especially when the field is near a wonderful old farmhouse. My lovely daughter used to love going potty in fields, she preferred it to spot-a-pots.

WV: elons- Blogfest feels like it was elons ago

I know you're envious that I once drove a combine through a corn field... I have also driven a tractor on the road (not in a field). In fact, I practiced driving from the time I was 14 by taking our pick-up truck up and down our field roads (along the fence rows). And now I realize that my oldest son is 14 and, uh, that's how old I was when my mom trusted me to drive the truck on grass. Good gawd am I getting old.

Growing up, my BF's brother chased us in a corn field which was a very scary field because I couln't see over the corn in the field so I was always happy when the farmer harvested the corn to leave an empty field, and then he planted wheat in the field, and now there are Christmas trees in the field.

Wow, that was a REALLY long run-on.. but I got a bunch of fields in it!

WV - nomfulse - pretty close to nonsense.

Where's the cornfield?

These fields are fair game for anyone who needs a cornfield, but there's not as much cover in a soybean field ... so I think there's should be a ranking for fields .. based on how much fielding you get when you are ... disposed to need a field.

If you visit my blog you can see the sunrise of the picture that I took standing in the corn Field that had been harvested not too long ago. This Field is now the home of many deer and pheasants and some turkeys. Yesterday I rolled my big big pumpkins to this Field because they were too heavy to carry.

Have you heard how chuck is doing at the shelter? Hope he is standing in a field of happiness.

I can't have dogs at this time. But I did buy a large bag of food #50 pounds and took it to the local humane society. They were happy and grateful.

I'll be humming "Soybean Fields Forever" the rest of the day:/

I think I'll try the same exercise with the word "gastrointestinal."

Well, maybe later.

Yesterday, a squirrel ran in from the field, into my house. The dog chased him around and around and finally caught him. I failed to field all the flying bits of flesh, guts and oh-my-God the blood that flew around my cream-carpeted sitting room, before they hit the walls, furniture and aforementioned carpet.

I feeled quite revolted when I had finished scraping it up...

A lady pooped in a field? Why, I am truly shocked that a thing like that could happen in this day and age. Would it perhaps have been a corn field?

Well, then. Maybe I know her after all.

Field. The end.

EXCELLENT! All of you pass with flying colors- some with honors!

You can pick up your diplomas at CBW's School of Mediocre Writing, Mathews County, Virginia. If you wish to have it mailed, allow a 2-3 week delay since CBW makes a point to avoid the post office and all the bills waiting in the box at all costs.

p.s. Mrs. F - You have my sincerest sympathies.
