Pop Quiz

Taken from Aaron's Beach

1.  What kind of birds are these?

2.  How did Wolf Trap Light, off in the background beyond these unidentified birds, get its name?

3.  After two days of cooking and one entire day of non-stop eating, how many days of sleep does it take to fully and properly recover?

Answers:

1.  If you know the answer, and it's anything but sea gull, please leave it in the comments section.

2. To read a post on this lighthouse, click here.

3. No one may ever really know the answer since it depends on the individual, but speaking for myself I'd say three additional days are required. Somebody wake me up on Monday--thanks.

4.  Enjoy the weekend.

1. They are terns

2. something to do with a ship grounding near there or some such nonsense I don't completely remember and I'm too tired to look up.

3. Depends on whether or not you're crazy enough to partake in any Black Friday frivolity and/or if you are dealing with crazy people. I'm pretty sure I need at least 6months.

3. Three's the number I'd'a picked if it hadn't already been taken.
2. No idea about the name.
1. Terns. (Not as in one good turn deserves another, the other kind, as in Leave no tern unstoned.)
Oh, I see Deltaville Jamie said terns, too, so that's good, either we're both right or we're both wrong.

1. Probably terns, like Jamie said.
2. No idea.
3. It's kind of a let down, isn't it? I mean, all that cooking and then it's eaten so quickly. I'm about recovered. Hope you will be soon.

1. Terns? Herring gulls? Revolting feathery creatures that crap everywhere?

2. Ummm, I don't know.

3. I don't know that either. But I DO know that there is no such thing as too much sleep.

I DO know that two sinus infections, three ear infections, and one vomiter are enough to try a mother (well, this mother) beyond endurance. I think it has to do with lack of sleep...

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving... but I am trying hard to be thankful. I'll start with.... universal healthcare and emergency walk-in doctors!

Well, the tree didn't fall in the woods after all! The fried turkey breast was fab, and I made enough food for days! Then today I walked it all off, including my feet! I'm down to stumps! LOL
