Scenes from Queens Creek

These were taken Thursday evening from my shoreline. The setting sun was a spectacular source of illumination.

This weekend is the first in forever a while that the Chesapeake Bay Family doesn't necessarily have to be anywhere or do anything. Daughter is done with school. Son, for all intents and purposes, is as well, with only a few minor things to attend to next week.

I'm looking forward to some quality Down Time and hope you enjoy some as well.

Love the heron photos. So let's see.... we have a woman with a camera + a little free time + a crazy emu running free... sounds like a photo tour to me. Mathews as seen through the emu's eye.

@Mental P Mama, isn't there *always* wine?

Let's see, tonight we shuttle the 8th grader to and from his end-of-year "dance" (I don't know if they actually DANCE at these things)... tomorrow night, the neighbors are hosting a low-key party for their oldest son's high school graduation (drinks, dinner, bonfire, smores)... and Sunday, perhaps, I will spend some time on my hammock, suspended from our new pergola on our new deck. I must mentally prepare for the return of the deck-building in-laws, who will be back Wednesday through Saturday to finish the project. Serenity now. And wine. Always.

Hold the wine, but I'll take the serenity. Beautiful spot you've got there, CBW. Gorgeous in all seasons.

All sounds pretty good and tranquil. Love the photos.
Hope you enjoy the summer break with the kids.

I woke up and wondered where I was this week. Far North Queensland, visiting my sister. I think it might be a little like Bora Bora...but I don't know. I've never been to Bora Bora, but this is pretty good.
