Three Things

Every Thursday here in Crazyville Chesapeake Bay Woman's world we have what's known as a three ring circus Three Thing Thursday, where she I share three things and you share three things, whatever you want. Anything at all.

Let's begin.

1. The photo above from Bethel Beach is not of some mutant/hybrid seal-iguana-snake-alligator looking thing. That is a piece of driftwood which happens to look like some sort of mutant/hybrid seal-iguana-snake-alligator looking thing.

2. Oh my goodness gracious. Oh my goodness gracious sakes alive. As the talent manager of one of the participants in Saturday's Relay for Life womanless beauty pageant, I can assure you that anyone under the beams of the Harry Ward Auditorium will be screaming with laughter that night.

3. Today as I was leaving the paying job I rolled my sun roof back. A hawk flew so close overhead he cast a shadow on my forehead dashboard. For a not so fleeting moment I worried wondered about the possibility of some big bird swooping down, sticking its claws in my rat's nest frizzy hair and pulling me through the sun roof. But only for the whole commute home a fleeting moment.

Now it's your turn to share three (or more) things.

Whatever you want. Anything at all.

1. I never knew how much work was involved in a beauty pageant.

2a. I have the perfect formal gown for the event.

2b. Tonight after work, I will shop for shoes, a swimsuit, and everything else.

3. CBW is the "bestest" manager ever!

1. It's times like this (the pageant) that I wish I'd never moved so far away from home...

2. Keeping a food journal is really taxing what little brain cells I have devoted to memories.

3. I wish the weather would make up it's mind as to whether or not it is summer or winter, considering we have had both this week. Ugh!

1. I am going to TRY to attend the events as planned starting tomorrow..

2. I say try cause there is a little something that has to be done today that is not exactly something I had planned and could prove to be a bit painful and not sure how I am going to be.

3. I am not ignoring you.. been dealing with number 2 among the 2345234324533 other things I have to deal with on a daily basis..

4. if a slept over is happening.. I AM IN.

1. Bayman, don't forget about fake eyelashes and press-on nails. But don't put on the nails until the very last thing. Take my word for it.

2. After running around DC looking for the elusive Caps shirt? They up and lost last night. Maybe now, though, we won't have to watch so much hockey in our house? No, scratch that; it's the playoffs and my husband loves his NHL.

3. I have "only" two kids for two more days - middle son's with the sixth grade at "outdoor ed". It's a longtime rite of passage in our county - grown-ups who have kids my kids' age STILL have fond memories of their experience.

1. I thought you were going to say the hawk had crapped on you through the sunroof.

2. I think I might be a little bit in love with Bayman.

3. Meg, I'm sorry you lost. But we WON!! And I have tickets for a game in the next round!!!

3a) Tonight there is a sleepover at my house. My dear friend Mrs H's children will be here. There will be two eight year olds, two six year olds, two four year olds, and a very crabby two year old. And me. Just me. I will be responsible for seven children for eight and under.

3b) Am I crazy? Not yet......

Mrs F - The Habs were the superior team. The Caps choked. But they always do that; we have come to expect it. Good luck in round two and OMG YOU GET TO GO TO A PLAYOFF GAME!!! That will be awesome. I hope you get to see sudden death OT.

1. While I was walking this morning a hawk chases a sparrow past me. I felt the breeze from his wings. Awesome and scary at the same time!

2. Only one more class and the final left and then I will be done, done, done. For the semester, anyway.

3. I really, REALLY, need a nap.

1. God has blessed me to have many friends who have stuck by me through thick and VERY thin.
2. Facebook and blogging have been a great blessing in my life. I have reunited with many old friends.
3.One year ago, I was confined to a wheelchair, and had to learn to walk again, one step at a time. I can now walk a mile and climb stairs. Amen!

Yes, it's true. The Caps always peak too early and choke in the playoffs. NHL version of the Cubs, I'm afraid.

Oh my...where oh where to start?!?

1. I am still not completely ready for Meg's homecoming...so much to do. She's only here for a week, but I want everything to be perfect for that week. She leaves for England about 10 days from now and will be there for a couple of months and then she's off to Iraq. So yeah...every stinkin' thing has to be perfect!

2. I've lost 9lbs in the little over a week since I stopped drinking Coke. NINE POUNDS!

3. I still really really REALLY want an ice cold Coke, despite knowing what it's doing to me.

1. Cool story about the hawk!
2. I'm unusually un-talkative.
3. Where is Mathews Mark?

Okie dokie!

1) great pictures of Bayman and hats off to him for doin' the contest!!

2) a few years back when Mr. Little Sue did a similar contest, Mrs. Little Sue put glitter on tennis shoes so that he wouldn't bust his butt on stage! I heard they looked fabulous!! Use a pair that he will never need to wear again.....ha, ha

3) I'm in dc til Saturday a.m. Coming to see Mamma next weekend.
I am very much looking forward to that. Wish you could be there.

4) I may have to have oral surgery!! I have to go for a consultation, will give you the details later. I know the dentist freaks you out...surgery freaks me out; I know people do it every day but.......

5) the best part of traveling for work is having a glass of wine in your room by yourself in your pink, fuzzy slippers. Nothing else you need to be doing......

Love you!
Middle Sis

Middle Sis - Love you too and had NO idea that Mr. Little Sue did this at any point in time but am not surprised to learn that Mrs. advised him as she did. Love that lady, she has an attention to detail that is other-worldly, and a sense of humor to go along with it.

In unrelated news, next weekend it will be you, Baby Sis and CB Daughter because CB Son has his 8th grade trip and I have my
88th grade trip to visit with my college friends.

All this is my way of denying that you ever mentioned the words dentist, oral, and surgery, because as you know nothing good can come of any of that.

Mermaid-PLAY THOSE NUMBERS!
