Whimsy

These shots from Haven Beach are pretty representative of what it's like here in Mathews.

Laid back.

Relaxed.

Unhurried.

Brimming with beautiful vistas, quiet serenity,

and small town eccentricity charm.

And purple tractors.

The End.

I've seen plenty of tractors in my time, but never a purple one until now. Made my day.

My verification word is fadsy. Do you think purple tractors are destined to become all fadsy?

I wish life were simple here..I seem to have brought the rain with me here. More flooding in Victoria where I am visiting now, the cyclone seems to have followed me down. ugh.

Ahhh yes, the simple life...what is that?? hey one can dream, can't one? maybe some day...

Hey CBW, now let me get this right, we are talking about the Vietnamese Spring rolls that ARE NOT fried, right? The fresh ones, with the rice paper, rice noodles, the Chinese basil and or mint and some kind of meat and veg, right? Oh please say yes, they are soooo much better than the fried ones. And I just have to know cause I want to make sure I bring the right ingredients when I win Twin Coves!!!

Have a wonderful weekend, I ahve to get in the shower and get ready to go to the h@@l hole, oops I meant work...Maria_ NJ

Maria - YES. The ones that are **not** fried. Heavenly. I can make the dipping sauce but we don't have the rice paper here and I rarely go grocery shopping in areas that do.

Please send ten dozen in advance of your arrival, so I can sample them and make sure they're OK. Thanks!

Maria- I checked out the link. Don't know anything personally about that house but it sure is priced to sell. I didn't see how much land came with it, so that would be my first question - how close are the neighbors? And how far is the major highway? Next, assuming the property is on at least an acre or two and that it's reasonably close to the water, that price would lead me to believe it needs major work OR that it is susceptible to flooding. But do not quote me on any of this because I've not seen the house and don't know what its issues may be.

I could drive down there and take a peek if it weren't raining and I didn't have work to do. The next time I'm down that way I'll see if I can locate it and report back. E-mail me if you want - ChesapeakeBayWoman@gmail.com.

Are you advertising for the DIY cabin? (ha!)
Does the owner of the tractor also have purple cows?

Love that tractor, my father used to restore vintage tractors to their original glory - and that one is pure glory!

I'll probably need to taste test the spring rolls. You can send me 10 dozen, too, please.

Deborah - I didn't see any purple cows but nothing would surprise me around here. Maybe all the coyotes in the neighboring county got to them.
