Sunday afternoon after a four-mile run, I drove down to Aaron's Beach just to say hello.
Although the sun was shining brightly, the wind was brisk.
Temperatures were only in the forties.
(Saturday, when I went running down Redart, it started snowing!)
(I'm really ready for warm weather to settle in and for the cold to go away.)
Anyway, the sand at the beach's entrance has shifted since I last visited.
But most of the rest of it
looks the same.
It was another busy week here in the Chesapeake Bay household. Daughter purchased her prom dress, and in a few weeks I'll be taking my very last prom pictures as a mother. Sunday night was her basketball banquet, the very last sports banquet I'll be attending as a mother. Her cap and gown recently arrived, and before too long I'll be
I continue to press the limits of an odometer with my 100-mile daily commute, but I have been doing some fun things as well. On Saturday, Middle Sister invited me to an oyster roast at the Mathews Yacht Club, where she recently applied to become a member. We thoroughly enjoyed a seafood feast with some fascinating people.
Baby Sis and I are once again traveling to Nashville to visit our blog friend Lauren. We will also attempt to run another half marathon. Since my car accident, I've not been able to get back to where I was physically. There are more aches and pains and I just feel
There's more to tell, and when things simmer down here I will tell the story from beginning to end.
It's a very good one.
I hope all is well in your world. Have a great week!

Enjoy Nashville and friend. We were invited to eastern TN but probably postponing until June. Spouse has (annual) sibling(s) reunion, this time near Atlanta, GA. Birth years 1927, 1929 and 1942, 1943 (spouse the "baby") so you can see the urgency of "annual."
When we come in for a visit, we go to Haven Beach. Where is Aaron's Beach? I grew up in Mathews and don't believe I've ever been there!
FJB - Thank you. Enjoy the sibling reunion!
Dave -Aaron's was likely called something else back in the day, but it is south of Haven Beach and north of Bethel Beach. If you're headed to Haven on Route 643, you'd make a right at the little red barn with the Ocean Products sign on it and follow that road (645 according to my map) to the end. It's my favorite of our beaches.
It was warm here today, I am hoping it stays that way.
it does look the same .. all thats missing are all the sandals we all took off and left there while we wandered and took pix seems like yesterdfay
Giddyup! You go enjoy Nashville! Good things happen in Tennessee. :-)
Do you run on the beach or the hard surface road ? Keep up the good work !!
Crazy about Blue - Hard surface road. The beauty is you can run for an hour and maybe see one car--and the person always waves. (Thank you! I am trying.)
Meg - Giddyup! We'll see Lauren in TN so it can only be good.
Daryl - I miss all those wonderful people who gathered here, it does seem like yesterday.
