Clouds

Glimpse of Queens Creek from my back yard.

Thursday's on and off showers resulted in cooler temperatures and skies that were doing their very best to sweep the clouds away without the benefit of wind.

This particular cloud really grabbed my attention.

After asking my teenaged son if he'd be willing to retrieve his sister from basketball practice, I noticed the pastel colors taking over Queens Creek and the sky overhead.

When he said he would, I stifled my ardent desire to do a dance of any sort; nonchalantly handed him the keys; asked him to be careful; and said thank you.

While he was retrieving his sister, I was able to focus on dinner without being rushed.

I also sat down for a few minutes and studied this view from my back yard.

And once again I said thank you.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Scenes from East River

These are a few miscellaneous shots taken from Williams Wharf.

Unrelated to Williams Wharf or the East River, I signed up for my first 10K yesterday.

The fact that I am only currently running five miles and 10K = 6.2 miles does not bother me.

Not yet anyway.

Click here for information on the race which is in Richmond at the end of March.

I'll be the one with the crab hat running at a snail's pace.

Happy February.
