Thanksgiving

When asked if my cup is half-full or half-empty my only response is that I am thankful I have a cup." Sam Lefkowitz

We can always find something to be thankful for, and there may be reasons why we ought to be thankful for even those dispensations which appear dark and frowning." Albert Barnes

Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character." Author Unknown, although Chesapeake Bay Woman so closely identifies with these words she is considering having them tattooed as a constant reminder.  Except there are too many words and far too much pain involved, and she's not trying to build that much character, so never mind on the whole tattoo thing.

Have a wonderful, safe, happy and relaxing Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone....Im thankful to be alive but I'd be more thankful if I (and my canine friends here at the Humane Society overflow shelter....to be closed in six days) had a home. Thanks, Honey

Honey is a wonderful tri-colored hound, but fearful and shy from abuse. All she needs is someone willing to work with her to gain her trust. She is very gentle and tolerant....I've never heard her growl....she gets along well with other dogs. She could easily become a child's best friend. She desperately needs a home. Please consider fostering her if you cannot adopt her.

Gobble gobble! I'm going to attempt to deep fry a turkey breast this year, as it's just the two of us, and if I fail, well... it'll be a tree in the woods situation! LOL Enjoy the day, the family, and the memories you're making!

That first shot looks so much like home!

Baybrowder-Hopefully someone out there can provide Honey a home even if it is temporary. She sounds like such a loving dog with so much potential.

Deborah and MPM (and everyone)-Wishing you the same - enjoy the time.

Kaffy-I am so grateful to still have you as my friend after all these years. Hope you enjoy yourself this long weekend and are able to relax and do something for you - JUST for you, because you deserve it.

CG-I've always wanted a tattoo but a small one in a discreet location. (This is all code for I'll probably never get one. All talk. No follow through.)

Daryl-I think ingedi is what people will experience after eating my Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, although probably nothing a pack of Rolaids can't cure.

Kate-Your Tree in the Woods Thanksgiving sounds fantastic. Please let us know how it turns out. I am sure it will be wonderful and memorable.

Rocket Man - The bay is beautiful, and this particular beach is one of my favorites.

I would be remiss if I did not mention my gratitude for those of you who read my quirky, rambling posts, and particularly those of you who comment, because the comments just make my day. Thank you, thank you for visiting this site.

Enjoy some good food and some good company tomorrow. Most of all, don't forget to laugh.

Anonymous - Drop by my house any time after 2:00, I've got enough to feed a small army. Bring me some Red Bull, I could use it thanks to my teenaged son who didn't get home until close to midnight.

Off to the kitchen.
