These quick little wave-darting sandpipers were frantically frolicking along the shore at the southern end of the county recently.
Although I am almost always incorrect when I try to identify birds am often forced to call upon Deltaville Jamie to help identify shore birds, I'm going out on a limb, however shaky and thin, to suggest that this particular type of sandpiper is a sanderling.
If I am wrong, rest assured it won't be the first last time.
Happy Wednesday.
