Searching for quotes about boats, I found these:
"Compare society to a boat. Her progress through the water will not depend upon the exertion of her crew, but upon the exertion devoted to propelling her. This will be lessened by any expenditure of force in fighting amongst themselves, or in pulling in different directions."
- Henry George
"
If you work on a lobster boat, sneaking up behind someone and pinching him is probably a joke that gets old fast."
- Jack Handey
"Let's devote our collective energy to propelling forward. And also to pinching people who work on lobster boats. At least once. Maybe twice. Just for the fun of it. Also, I love Jack Handey."
- CBW

Or wear a crab hat....
wonderful series of photos- always so calming to look at the water and boats.
wishing you a lovely weekend!
That first quote is the very definition of our country and our Congress, and completely true.
a whole lotta boatin' goin' on! have a fabulous weekend!!!
Funny, I was working on a post about boats too (for when I'm not doing that 30 day thing). There's a good quote from Wind in the Willows I'd share but I know I'd murder it. My mind is elsewhere- in a good way. Have a fantabulous weekend, run fast or long or whatever and have fun at the teen party
Consider yourself pinched! :)
Oops - forgot to say I LOVE that first quote, and what your mom thinks of it.
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me... *sigh*
