This lovely tree lives at the end of my lane. |
With those
horrible months of January and February safely behind us, Spring now sees fit to make an appearance, however brief that appearance may be.
We've had 80-degree weather already. The ants are back (inside the house). The fiddler crabs are out and about. The grass already needs cutting. Eighty-degree weather, ants, fiddler crabs, and overgrown grass are more indicative of summer, which no doubt we'll launch right into after these two, perhaps three, days of spring.
For today, though, let's enjoy some photos that show Mother Nature is hard at work breathing life back into
me her domain.

This was on the ride home from Deltaville. |

Waverly Lane. On the left daffodils are barely visible; on the right is another blossoming tree. |
|
Blurry daffodils out in our field. I took better shots but for some reason forgot to download them. |
|
These daffodils are admiring their reflection in the water which is actually a ditch down near Onemo. |

Same flowers. |

Same tree as the first one but taken on a different day. |
What's happening in your neck of the woods?

We had some lovely warm weather. We had ants in the house, so many we had to get an exterminator. Now there's a blizzard warning in effect. The early evening's mixed rain and snow is now just snow, but it isn't sticking to the street yet. However, it's supposed to get awful before sunrise, and we were scheduled to drive to Calgary tomorrow. We might not.
Meanwhile, your photos are totally gorgeous, CBW. I'm so jealous. Blossoms and leaves, green grass and daffodils. Sigh.

I don't want to be home. I want to be back down there. BC cried Sunday morning because he wanted to stay longer.
Beautiful photos!
Spring sprang out here, too...the huge magnolia tree next door is in full bloom...so lovely to look at thru my kitchen window, and the lawn mowers were running all over the neighborhood:)
It is supposed to reach 80 today...I see yardwork in my future..
Have a lovely day!
We took a walk along the river on Saturday ... I took photos with my real camera .. I say dont pack away the boots just yet .. I remember snow one Easter in mid-April ..
"Oh, what a beautiful morning,
Oh, what a beautiful day...."
I love the spring when everything is in bloom. Dogwood, Redbud, Forsythia, and let's not forget the flowering fruits, pear and cherry followed by the apple.
Beautiful pictures, by the way.
So stinkin busy working outside but got a lot done today...just lovely...
I listed some stuff of Mom's on e-Bay and the majority of it is selling, some for a stupid amount of money, go figure????
I was thinking about the BC and the daffodils just outside the house there, I really hope that Carol lady knows how lucky she is!
I have to work the rest of the week, oh chit!!
We are hoping our trees will have leaves this year (they are still a little stressed-out from last year's fire, as are we, frankly)... daffodils and forsythia are in full bloom... and I need a pedicure. BAD!
You're a little ahead of us in the weather department, although our daffs are blooming. Beautiful!
We are about two weeks behind you. But I am all ready for it! I wanna go to lunch...please read with my whiny voice.
