Ok, thanks to maria in nj mentioning you on the Blog Cabin posts, I have ever since been reading & loving this blog.
This one made me cry; especially Gustav !!

Thank you anonymous for the shout out...I have been following CBW's (someday I am going to know her first name!) blog too since finding her. Lovely isn't it. And I think even though the probability of me winning the Twin Coves home is very slim, I still have a strong desire to make her spring rolls!

I swear after my years in the casinos work is through, I am buying a house in the middle of the woods with nothing but nature around me. That is my plan and I am sticking with it...

Gustav looks as if he's posing for a sculptor .. or someone getting ready to have his neck chopped. Clearly my thoughts dont run as deep .. shallow thoughts ahead ...

Gustav always poses for the camera, doesn't he?

That's one of my favorite things I have ever visited. Not the goose - that boardwalk out to the observation area. So nice.

Grandma J. - Can you take your pal Gustav home with you when you visit this fall? I"m sure he'll become fast friends with JJ. Either that or he'll eat him as a quick snack. Thanks.

Anonymous - Glad to have you here. Gustav will definitely draw tears - and blood if he bites. He's a mean son of a gun.

Maria-I still think you're going to win, I feel it. Regardless, you're more than welcome to come here for a visit and bring your mad spring roll making skillz with you. Any time!

Mer-Thank you - love Jack Handy. In fact, I have something in the works with a friend of mine where we might do a jack handy-ish book. As always you're right on the mark with your video and audio accompaniment. Good to hear from you.

Daryl - I thought it looked like he was posing for the chopping block too. But don't let my mother hear you say that...

Deborah - That goose cannot sit still when someone's around, especially someone with a camera. Must be his ego.

Meg-The time we went there that first Blog Fest was very memorable. It's always beautiful down there.

Thanks for commenting, y'all. It's been crazy-busy around here and there's no end in sight. It's always nice to hear from you, even if I don't always get to respond. Just know that I really appreciate it.
