Three Things

Once again Thursday is upon us, and here on this blog that means Three Thing Thursday is upon us.  The rules are made to be broken very simple:  I share three things and you share three things, on any topic whatsoever.

I'll go first.

1.  Last night I attended Chesapeake Bay Son's JV soccer game at the high school.  This marks the third game I've been able to attend, and the third time something has gone awry.  Tonight the game was cut short by lightning.  For the other two games, which were away, I ended up at the wrong place.  This is a topic for another blog post because diagrams, detailed explanations, and circus music are involved.

2.  Chesapeake Bay Daughter is on spring break this week.  When your mother works and your brother is on an entirely different school schedule which includes circus clowns soccer games, spring break is not all that special except that you get to sleep late and do a whole lot of nothing all day long.

3. With everything going on around here,  I would give my eye teeth for a one-way ticket to Bora Bora to do a whole lot of nothing-- for just one hour.

Now it's your turn to share three things.  As always, three is merely a suggestion.  If you want to share one thing or five things, it matters not.  Just share something and know that I truly appreciate hearing from you.

Have a great day.

Click here for a link to the circus music that could very well be the background music of my week life thus far. I'm hoping Anonymous Commenter "mer" will locate a better version of this song or a more appropriate song for the otherwise chaotic and circus-like pace which is my life.

1. I loved you right up until the moment I clicked on your special link in my browser that opens up your blog.

2. At that very second my heart exploded into about a million and a half pieces..

3. Then one of those little pieces remembered after the photos from earlier this week I probably should wait awhile before coming back here or at least as for an all clear email.

4. It is not 8 am and I need a drinking now.. not wine but a drink.

5. I love you anyway..

1. I have an insane phobia of clowns, which even boils down to men wearing bowties.

2. 5 weeks and 4 days until I get to meet my baby girl.. but who's counting, right? haha

3. Hubby has to work straight through the weekend, oldest son going to his dad's, so it will just be me and the little one.. wonder what kind of trouble we can get into?

WV: subduum -- I'm sure there is a joke here somewhere, it's just too early for me to find it.

1. Last night I dreamt that drug smugglers were using my house as a staging area to distribute cocaine and planned to kill me and my whole family. I woke up thinking they were really in the foyer. Turned out it was just the dogs.

2. I didn't sleep very well last night because the dream made me think of illegal aliens which lead to thinking about actual aliens from another planet and I got scared that aliens were looking in my window.

3. No, I was not using any type of controlled or uncontrolled substance.

Three word Thursday? After reading about your wandering blindly for the away games...I have three words for you...

Global Positioning System (GPS)

You may still get lost, but you'll never feel alone. Oh,and opt for the male voice, you'll feel safer. :))

AND, count me in for Bora Bora.

Maria - I LOVE THE THAI POT although I no longer go there because eating out is a luxury these days. But when I used to go it was The Best. She started off in Kilmarnock and then moved the restaurant to Williamsburg but now she's back in Kilmarnock. It's great food.

Grandma J. - THe problem with the away games is that they keep changing the location and don't tell the parents until the very last minute! I would download directions from the internet, arrive at the place that I was told to report, and then receive a text from CB Son saying, "It's been changed - now you need to find Such and Such Middle School instead of the high school." Now that is when a GPS would come in handy...instead I just ask random people and thus far have managed to arrive on time to the games, but not without much, much fussin' and cussin'.
