The Dune

Avon, NC

This is the dune we cross daily to reach the ocean from the house.

Here is the path which leads to the dune we cross daily to reach the ocean.

Here are the steps that lead us from the house to the path
to the dune we cross daily to reach the ocean.

Here are wet towels hanging out to dry is the deck
that leads to the steps that takes us to the path
to the dune we cross daily to reach the ocean.

Here's the dune that's crossed daily. And the ocean.

Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.
I love that this week's biggest question
is when, exactly, I'm crossing the dune and what, exactly, I'm bringing with me.

I love vacation.
The End.

i. love. my. life.

of course I love you too but I love that you are getting to experience the beauty of what I see almost every day. (some days I am lazy and playing frogger across the by pass just isn't in the cards).

Love you see you soon.. like oh July 28th weekend.

At least you will be getting your exercise in. Oh yeah, don't forget anything because it's a long, long way back.

Hope you are having fun and love the pictures!

I just wanna share the definition of dune. A dune is a hill of sand built either by wind or water flow. Dunes occur in different forms and sizes, formed by interaction with the flow of air or water. Most kinds of dunes are longer on the windward side where the sand is pushed up the dune and have a shorter "slip face" in the lee of the wind.
