Weather Part II

Thomas B.

Once upon a weekend, the weather was wonderful.

A sunny Saturday was spent at Merroir with two people
I'd never know if not for this blog: Big Hair Envy and Thomas B.

The afternoon included laughing, talking, philosophizing, and laughing.

Also eating. Great food.

On Merroir's porch.

It was pretty clear that spring had finally sprung.

These daffodils live at the Tides Inn over in Irvington.
I took their portrait after lunch on Saturday.

Downtown Kilmarnock at rush hour

Since the day was so beautiful and there was no need for the fun to end,
we drove over to Irvington and then to Kilmarnock.

And back.

On the way home, a place I've admired for some time was sporting a For Sale sign out front.

The setting sun pretty much beckoned us to stop and trespass take some pictures.

So we did.

In short, Saturday was a spectacular day spent with good friends,
some sunshine, and just the slightest sprinkle of spontaneity.

Then Sunday arrived.

It was overcast all day.

Then it started snowing.

THE END

Ahh--I was with you all the way: the friends, lunch, merriment in sunshine at Merroir...that enchanting empty house...wish it could be a bloggers' timeshare buy, LOL...
Then, bam ! Sunday--cooler, misty--downright cold and -snow ? You have left me hanging with that last photo. Would that be your dad towing your mom over the frozen ground ?

It's snowing here now at 430 am. This weekend is supposed to be near 60, go figure. Can't wait to try out Merroir hope it's warmer in April!

AAh you guys. At least you had a tease of spring. We've had nothing. Well, maybe one day of sun but temps i high 30s which is 20-25 deg lower than normal. We will go right from winter to summer again this year with little to no spring. We have 4 inches of wet heavy snow on the ground in Pittsburgh right now and still snowing. Bah. Humbug.

Mother Nature is confused. She forgot to send snow on December 25, and instead sent it on March 25.

Is the weather wierd or what? So much for global warming.

Wish that was my house.

LLC-That's CB Son pulling CB Daughter on a sled attached to the Gator. This time my father managed to stay indoors. There were, thankfully, no stunts involving a zero-turn lawn mower on the dock. This time.

Snow has turned to rain tonight.

Cold, dreary rain.
