Blog Fest Eve

Welcome to Exhaustion Life in Mathews, the little blog which is hosting a party the next several days where all the people listed below (and then some) will be converging on Mathews County even though they've never been here before other than their little trips through cyberspace.

(Due to my exhaustion I will not edit that opening sentence which begs to be succinct yet stretches from Mathews to New York City.)

And now, because I'm delirious from all the preparations, I'd like to share a little poem on this Blog Fest Eve.

'Twas the night before Blog Fest
When all through the house
Not a PC was stirring
Not even its mouse.

The To Do list was hung
In the kitchen with care
In hopes that a fairy godmother
Soon would be there.

Blah blah blah if I weren't so exhausted I'd write the rest of this poem, but let's fast forward to the end.

The End.

Safe travels to all of the wonderful people traveling to Mathews County this weekend. If anyone reading this would like to attend and hasn't signed up yet (including anyone local whether you're a blogger or not), please shoot an e-mail to ChesapeakeBayWoman@gmail.com and I can give you details and directions.

Below are the folks who are coming and links to their blogs, if applicable. Please be sure to visit them --there is an overwhelming amount of talent represented in this short little list.

OMG, I'm first...which takes Annie off the hook. Of course everyone stateside whose attending blogfest is probably asleep so they can be all perky and fresh for the festivities.

Have I packed yet? It's progressing.

You are amazing CBW..simply amazing.

Good Morning. Hope you have a great day ...only 24 hours to go!

They won't let you past the roadblock if you try to take off now!

You'll just have to stay and face the music...and ENJOY everyone!

I know BlogFest will be great. Hope you have beautiful weather, and be sure to take them on a midnight tour of Old House Woods. Nothing like a skeleton on a horse to liven up the party!

Thanks, y'all, and Native Devil - that's an excellent idea! If not the skeleton on the horse then maybe the ghost pirate ship flying through the air....

I wish I was flying through the air on a ghost ship right now...there's so much to do that I am spinning my wheels in the mud and can't move an inch.

So I'll have some coffee instead and ponder things while perusing the internet. Taking "vacation" from the paying job today. Maybe I'll see when the next cruise to Alaska takes off.

I'll be taking that cruise to Alaska. Which is one of the reasons I passed on Blogfest. Unfortunately, I just can't do it all!

Have fun!!! Miss me!!!!

Having trouble focusing on the paying job today... haven't even begun to think about packing and I have a HOUSEGUEST tonight! And miles to go before I sleep. If I sleep. Which, frankly, ain't likely.

CBW has already checked in but the rest of ya, go check out my anticipatory road trip photos on my blog!

Gosh, you guys are going to have so much fun! If I'd had a job, and could have afforded the trip, I would have come up from NC!!

Is the identity of Anonymous Mathews Native going to be revealed? I'm all atwitter...

Meg- Hopefully Anonymous Mathews Native will be in attendence tomorrow night (she's planning on it as of now). She went to school with Baby Sister. You will also get to meet Anonymous Hallieford Resident on Friday night at the restaurant.

Interestingly enough, AMN and I have never met, I've just heard stories through Baby Sis who says she's hilarious. Coming from Baby sis, who is a barrel of monkeys herself, that's high praise. Plus, AMN went to U.Va. so that's all I need to know, other than she writes some pretty darn funny stories that can only happen around here.

See y'all tomorrow night. I"ll be the one lying face down in a pile of fiddler crabs, passed out from exhaustion.

is there going to be coffee to go with the ham biscuits? Is MMM making an appearance?

CBW-Will there be any electricity available? I have extention cords. Just wondering?

I have a case of bottled water I am bringing.

Please let me know what has not been donated on the list and I will be sure to bring it.

The excitement contiues to build!
Gosh I hope I dont bust before I get there!

Am waiting at BWI for Foolery's delayed flight. I got cheese danish, vanilla creamer, a pineapple, some club soda to go with the flavored vodka I told someone I would bring, oh, and a good box of red. Now all I need is my partner in crime, I mean my travel companion!
